The end of week 4
For the longest time I was having NO luck losing weight on this program, however I ended up losing 14 inches before I lost one pound, and I suppose that was just my body "re-adjusting" itself into a healthier proportion. Week 3 I did not think I was going to make it through week 4, because let me tell you weeks 1 and 2 are a PIECE of cake compared to what you get into with week 3 and 4! I was sweating like I have never sweat before with one of her workouts, and I was in so much pain. I remember the first day of week 3 I hadn't eaten anything because I just wanted to get it done and over with...BIG mistake! By the time I was done my entire body was weak, and I mean WEAK..I had a hard time opening the fridge to get my water. I knew I was in trouble if I didn't eat something soon, so I went ahead with my egg whites and one whole egg. I felt a ton better after about 30mins of eating! I was so scared to try workout 4 but I knew somewhere down deep I did have the energy to do it, I also ate before hand!! By the end of week 3 I really thought I was going to have to re-start that week because I didn't think I had it in me to get through 2 weeks of those INTENSE workouts. At the start of week 4 I went and got a heart rate monitor because I wasn't losing weight and I was relying on MFP numbers for my calories burned. I am so happy with my purchase because I have lost 3 pounds this week!! For those who don't know what MFP is, it is My Fitness Pal, a great site to track your calories and your exercise but the numbers are just way off. Now with my heart rate monitor I know exactly what I burn! I can not believe I am at the end of week 4 already, it seem to have flown by. The last 2 days of workout 3 and 4 I gave it so much more than I did the first part of the week because i knew this was the last time for the workouts and because I knew I was moving on to workout 5 and it can't get easier so it much just get harder. I can say though I am ready, I learned from week 3 NOT to workout on an empty stomach which I do not do anymore, even if its just a Greek yogurt I eat before my workouts! I also learned from one of Jillian's podcast that if you drink caffeine 45mins before a workout you will burn more fat! So i am sitting here sipping on a cup of coffee and waiting the 45mins before I go off for a bike ride. It shouldn't be anymore than 160grams of caffeine though, so she said a medium cup of coffee would be good. I put in creamer and zero calories sugar..not sure if that was suppose to be in there but I cannot drink black coffee!! I think my days are going to start earlier, with this new caffeine 45mins before a workout though, I hate waiting..but I also don't want an upset stomach! As soon as I figure out how to get my pictures from my phone to here, I will post my starting picture with my week 4 picture!
